Remembering Katie, Keeping Diane in Heart!  / Katherine Westmoland (Diane's Friend )

Dear Diane and family,

I just had to make it a point to stop by and visit your most beautiful and inspiring Katie, and let you know that neither she nor you have been forgotten.

From the first time I visited Katie's site, not long after loosing my grand daughter, our precious Sarah Faith Schmidt, I was just struck by all I read and felt as if I'd known Katie for a long time.  Soon I came to feel the same way about you, Diane.  I am sure Katie's spirit lives on very strong in you and in so many who's lives she touched while still walking this earth.  I often picture your precious Katie walking along the paths of Heaven's gardens, hand in hand with our Sarah Faith, singing, dancing, and giggling with joy and love.  That is what I believe your Katie was....joy and love.  Love for The Lord, love for her family, love for her friends, and love for all that were blessed to cross paths with her, if even for a moment.

As May 18th approaches, I just want you to know that you will be in my thoughts and prayers.  And, that you and Katie will always own a special place in my heart.  You were there for me during a very difficult time.  I think we helped each other many days to just hang in there.  I will always think of you with affection and gratitude, just as I am sure Katie would expect of anyone who knows her precious Mama-Diane.  I believe the Faith and Strength and Optomisim that Katie demonstrated, during her eight difficult years while battling her health, were a direct result of what you gave her and taught her.  She was blessed to have you, Diane...just as you, your family..and the world were blessed to have her.  Heaven became blessed on May 18th, 2005, the day Katie was made whole and set free of the bondage that her illness caused.

I know your heart aches without end and with longing for her.  Just keep living your life honoring her's, as you have for these past 3 years, and know that you are a blessing to people around the world by doing so.

May God Bless You, Lift You Up, and Carry You throught May 18th and every day thereafter until He chooses to bring you home with Him and reunite you with your beloved Katie Kate!
